Storytelling is central to our humanity - from lullabies and bedtime stories to the myths and sagas that shape our societies. Theater grows out of that common humanity, providing an intimate connection between performance and audience in the living moment.

SH Theatrical was founded to offer the Santa Cruz theater community an opportunity to experience thought-provoking productions that we hope will challenge and inspire all who participate, onstage and off, performers and audiences.

As a non-professional company we draw on the deep and diverse talent that is available in the Santa Cruz area and we appreciate all those who support our little contribution to the glorious history of human storytelling.
